Our company, Bachmann Oldtimerrestauration, was founded on 15 November 2009 by Heiko and Elaine Bachmann in Neumalsch.
We have specialised in the professional restoration of vintage cars of an extremely wide range of models dating from the 1920s to the 1950s. We were particularly impressed by the luxury makes and models of the pre-war period. Our excellently trained employees and their craftsmanship skills mean we always manage to turn our customers’ every desire into a reality.
We don’t just have a soft spot for the pre-war period, which forms the core of our business; every model of vintage car is close to our hearts. And that’s why, unlike our competitors, we don’t specialise in specific makes or models. Acquiring years of experience with an extremely wide range of models allowed us to build up a great deal of know-how for all the treasures of the vintage car world.
We aren’t just passionate about restoring old vehicles; we also love developing technical solutions for various models. It’s all the same to us whether you have a simple mass-produced vehicle or a unique piece from the luxury segment, we aim to offer our customers consistent work quality at all times and to meet their requirements in full.
Our team
Our company’s most valuable asset is our employees, who together have a wealth of experience in restoring vintage cars. Due to the extensive range of focal points, we can complete each and every vintage car project to your complete satisfaction.
Our workshop
You will find our workshop in Neumalsch, 10 km south of Karlsruhe, situated between Ettlingen and Rastatt.
On the bright and spacious premises, there is enough space for body construction with the most important machines for metalworking, including the likes of a sheet metal bender, a beading machine, a round machine, guillotine shears, various welding units, TIG welding units, MAG welding units, autogenous welding solutions and also special machines such as a stretch-forming machine, a roll-stretching machine, a punching table and a hydraulic press.
In the wheelwright’s workshop, you will find all the machines and equipment needed to faithfully and professionally repair wooden structures required for frames and interior fittings.
All mechanical repair work can be carried out on our premises; only engine overhauling carried out by externally by partner companies.
Complete paint build-up and subsequent varnishing is naturally in our hands too. We only the highest-quality paint products and series to carry out this work.
Our partners
Chrome
We rely on Brinkmann Chrom, based in Hanover, for all chrome and nickel processing work. Both we and our customers appreciate the excellent quality of their work.
Engine
When it comes to repairing engines, we cooperate with Graf Motoren based in Müllheim, Baden. It carries out all the work on vintage car engines with maximum precision and the very best quality.
Mechanics
We cooperate with Extra Mobile based in Straubenhardt to procure parts and repair English vehicle makes. In turn, it has us carry out all of its body and paint work.
Upholstery
Our upholstery work is carried out by Suchard, a very experienced car upholstery workshop based in Ettlingen. In addition to its high-quality leather and fabric upholstery work, it is also known nationwide for horsehair-finished headliners and fabric hoods in pre-war convertibles.
