This English classic is a Series 2 Jaguar coupé with an almost endlessly long bonnet that had previously been damaged in an accident. During the restoration work, it became apparent that the original and corroded outer sills had simply been fitted with new sills in the past. The lower body structure was in a heavily corroded condition – in need of extensive restoration and requiring many small and large repair plates to be made. The bodyshell was chemically stripped and derusted in a special plant by the customer beforehand, and was then given a KTL coating.

The pictures provide an exemplary illustration of individual parts of the body where the body is being shown to be repaired in a correct and ideal way. The body was painted in an original colour using modern two-layer paints.
